Coatings Fire Risk Analysis - Examining the sample

Our Coatings Fire Risk Analysis service is available UK wide. Upon completion you will be issued with a comprehensive report detailing the options available to you. (This will be supplemented with digital photographic evidence if relevant or required).

The amount of work required will depend on several factors

  • The level of investigation required by the customer
  • The decorative history of the building.
  • The type and layout of the building.
  • The practices carried out in the building.

The analysis can include visual inspection, assessment of the adhesion of the existing coatings (both to the substrate and between coats), both at ambient and elevated temperature.

Samples may also be taken from site for microscopic examination to determine the number of coats present, their type, thickness and general condition.

A report will be duly issued containing recommendations about the redecoration of the areas examined (including the levels of risk, practicality and the level of cost involved).

(Please note that as we are independent consultants we will not be able to recommend specific materials for the redecoration). However, we will be able to give advice about the types of flame retardant systems available.
